Report released on the Economic Impact of USDA Export Market Development Programs

This study, conducted by Dr. Gary W. Williams, Texas A&M University; Dr. Jeffrey J. Reimer, Oregon State University; Dr. Rebekka M. Dudensing, Texas A&M Unversity; Dr. Bruce McCarl, Texas A&M University; Dr. Harry Kaiser, Cornell University; and Joseph Somers, Vice President, Informa Economics, IEG, evaluated the impacts of the United States Department of Agriculture's Market Access Program (MAP) and Foreign Market Development (FMD) program using guidelines contained in the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) Circular A-94.

Selected Papers presented at the Southern Agricultural Economics Association (SAEA) Annual Meeting

Two Selected Papers from Co-Directors at the AFCERC were presented at the 2016 Southern Agricultural Economics Association Annual Meeting in San Antonio, TX.

Yang Hu, Dr. Senarath Dharmasena, Dr. Oral Capps, Jr., (Texas A&M University) and Dr. Ramkumar Janakirarman (University of Southern Carolina) presented a Selected Paper entitled "U.S. Demand for Chocolate Milk as an Alternative Energy/Sports Drink."

Dr. Gary W. Williams and Dr. J. Mark Welch (Texas A&M University) presented a Selected Paper entitled "An Economic Analysis of the Potential Returns from a Future National Wheat Checkoff Program."

Dr. Gary W. Williams appointed as a member to the Research Oversight Committee for a Genome Canada funded project

Dr. Gary W. Williams was appointed to the Research Oversight Committee for the Genome Canada funded project, "Application of Genomics to Improve Disease Resilience and Sustainability in Pork Production." This research is being conducted by researchers at the University of Alberta and the University of Saskatchewan.
